Empowering Emerging Artists, Inspiring Art Enthusiasts

The Water’s Edge Gallery is located inside the Riverside Hotel above the main lobby, and artwork in every genre is displayed throughout the hotel. A mainstay in the Boise art scene, we exhibit local and emerging artists in a vibrant and dynamic space that showcases the creativity and innovation within our community. In addition to exhibits, the Water’s Edge Gallery also hosts workshops, special art exhibits, and other events.

Shelly Johnson is a watercolor artist living in Boise, Idaho. She is a member of the Idaho Watercolor Society since 2010, and is a regular participant in their annual Idaho Capitol Building and membership juried shows.Her favorite painting subject is children, but she found a second love painting Idaho landscapes and wildlife. She works from provided reference from clients, and from her own photographs taken from around the state.
