Fox & Bones

Scott Gilmore and Sarah Vitort are Fox and Bones—energetic offbeat folksters with a retro-tinged, soul-stirring, modern vintage bent.

Fox and Bones’ fourth album titled "Long Time Honey” is a collaboration with acclaimed songwriter Greg Holden and has received international acclaim for its upbeat and heartfelt songwriting. Naga Mag (Greece) lauded, "The much-loved vocals are so familiar and warm that you feel the love overflowing inside you" and Americana Highways (US) beamed Long Time Honey “should rightly be considered one of the best Americana albums of the year”.

Their hardworking artistic output has earned them first place at the 2023 Tucson Folk Festival songwriting contest and second place in the International Acoustic Music Awards. In between their rigorous tour schedule, the duo founded Portland’s Folk Festival.

Jeff Crosby

Join Jeff Crosby & his band in the Sapphire Room for his 11th Annual Homecoming Run.

Born and raised in a sleepy mountain town in Northern Idaho, singer-songwriter Jeff Crosby has managed to delineate the sometimes-amorphous genre of "Americana", package it perfectly, and deliver it to his listeners time and again.

His songs present almost as pages ripped out of an intimately personal diary, detailing the rugged beauty of what it means to have loved, lost and kept on the move. There seems to be no shortage of inspiration as Crosby is one of the last few "troubadours" that truly lives the life he sings about.

Morgan James

Let’s start with the voice, an instrument through which she can communicate anything. A gift bestowed upon her that she has expertly trained, meticulously nurtured, and passionately galvanized into action by an urgency to make real music. Next, the stories, and she has them in spades. They are full of truth and beauty, heartache and thoughtfulness. They reveal colors we weren’t expecting to see. They make us close our eyes and relate. And finally, the soul – the emotional and intellectual energy through which these parts are fueled. That special something that prompted The Wall Street Journal to herald her as "the most promising young vocalist to come along so far this century."

Hillfolk Noir

Grooving. Raucous. Genre-bending. And always a ton of fun.

Built on more than 15 years of tradition, today’s Hillfolk takes their acoustic guitar, double bass, and “anything you can find at a hardware store” sound and integrates driving drums and an electrified sound, kicking down limitations to create a vibe that goes beyond their Americana “junkerdash” roots. Want to call it bluegrass’s trouble-making cousin? Fine by us. A bit of string-band blues? Sure ‘nuff. A concoction of electrified rockin’ soulful folksy witchcraft mayhem? Now you’re talking, mama.
